The reason I ask if it's the OS one is that there seems to be an actual paid app named font book - that's a $10 utility that looks like it's kinda like PopChar. But it doesn't look like that one actually MANAGES fonts. The app is actually a small utility that simply displays all the fonts on your Mac. As the built-in Mac font manager, Fontbook lets you view available Apple fonts, search for new fonts, disable certain fonts, and download fonts from the web.
Liven up your text
Downloaded a great new font from the web? Install it using Font Book, so you can use it in all your apps.
Access the fonts you use most
Organize fonts into collections and libraries to quickly access those fonts you use all the time.
Select that perfect font
Not sure what a certain font looks like? View the font in Font Book to see a sample of the characters onscreen, or print a sample.
To explore the Font Book User Guide, click Table of Contents at the top of the page, or enter a word or phrase in the search field.
